New Akai Products Arriving July
Lots and lots of exciting new gear is just over the horizon from Akai. It looks like we have the low down on arrival dates and the first reviews for such hot products as the APC40 having been appearing all over the internet. So, the goss is, as follows:
Akai APC 40 Ableton Controller:
The hype surrounding this particular piece of kit has been huge! We're expecting them to hit our shelves in bulk around the middle of July. Pre-release reviews have been very positive, the unit has been praised for it's sturdy construction and exceptional layout design. This unit is one of the first truly comprehensive DJ controllers designed specifically for Ableton Live users.
Akai MPK25 Keyboard/MIDI Controller:
With more midi control options than you can poke a stick at, the Akai MPK25 offers a truly ridiculous amount of control in the one compact surface. Borrowing the best design elements from the MPK49 and the MPD32, including MPC pads, arpegiator and full CC control customization the MPK25 is a one-stop MIDI control solution for the stage or home studio. We're expecting the MPK's in the first weeks of July.
Isn't it reassuring how familiar this surface looks. Giving you nothing but those classic sampler drum pad elements you know and love (including MPC style tempo slider!) the MPD18 is the midi solution for getting that classic MPC feel without abandoning the perks of your laptop. I love the 'nothing but what you need' design simplicity behind this unit, the perfect solution for adding high quality drum pads to your existing set-up. At this stage we're expecting the MPD18's in store early August.
More updates on all of this gear as it arrives in store. You can purchase or pre-order in store or online now.
Thanks,
Matt
