Akai MPK25 in store now
We at Spank! Records are proud to welcome the the latest addition to the Akai family, the Akai MPK25.
The Akai MPK and MPD lines of MIDI controllers have been developing for a while now, refining the arrangement of Akai's quality component parts into a number of models that offer control options sensitive to the varied needs of the musical community.
The MPK25 is the most compact MIDI controller keyboard in the Akai MPK line, with a real focus on delivering a comprehensive range of control options while keeping the physical footprint of the unit as small as possible.
The MPK25 includes 12 of Akai's famous MPC style pads, 25-key semi-weighted keyboard with after-touch, two banks of 12 Q-Link knobs and four buttons, MPC Note Repeat, MPC Swing, and Arpeggiator features, aswell as four pad bank and two knob bank options all in a chassis a little under 11cm x 17cm.
Ideal for travelling or space conscious computer musicians, the Akai MPK25 is a truly comprehensive controller despite its size.
The Akai MPK25 is available now.
Thanks,
Matt

I did a review of the Akai MPK25. I was impressed as i wasn't expecting it to be that good, I've seen atempts by other companys to combine pieces of gear and failing badly.
Anyway pads feel great, just like MPC pads, keys are nice and weighted, durable build and cool swing function nicked off the MPC.
Worth the cash I reckon.
