Best Of The Noughties DJ Charts (Part 10)
Ash Le Rouge has been buying records from Spank! since our humble beginnings in a cockroach-ridden shoebox (well that's what it felt like back then!) many, many years ago.
And we both went on to bigger things - Spank, a new location and Ash, a sterling career playing in clubs all over Sydney and interstate supporting such names as The Revenge, MSTKRFT, Tiefschwarz, Crazy P and a list so long that my fingers have begged me not to proceed.
So I won't. Here's his list (in no particular order).
1. DJ T 'Freemind' (Get Physical Records)
2. Justice 'Waters Of Nazareth (Part 2)' (Erol Alkan's Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr re-edit) (Ed Banger Records)
3. Cut Copy 'Rendezvous' (Rex Records)
4. Le Tigre 'Deceptacon' (DFA remix) (Chicks On Speed)
5. !!! 'Me And Giuliani Down By The School Yard (A True Story)' (Warp Records)
6. Tiga 'You Gonna Want Me' (Different)
7. Soulwax 'Miserable Girl' (PIAS)
8. The Rapture 'House Of Jealous Lovers' (DFA)
9. Colder 'To The Music' (Output)
10. Daft Punk 'One More Time' (Virgin)
Murphy.

Miss Kittin & The Hacker's "Frank Sinatra" was originally released in 1998, so technically not a "noughties" track.

You are absolutely right. It was also released on Emperor Norton in 2000. It's funny because Ash gave me 11 tracks so I have taken the Miss Kittin track out and swapped it for Daft Punk. Thanks for picking that up.
Mark.
