Loved by many and disliked by most, Ben Zooky’s continual dreams of lighting up dancefloors, mirrorballs and the never-ending bottle of Bollinger, has seen him sporting his wares across most of Sydney across the second half of the past decade.

Starting back in 2005 with a pair of turntables and a satchel-full of disco records, Ben started to throw parties monthly at a dodgy little Oxford St gin joint. These parties started off with only a handful of friends, but eventually developed into 1000 heads of raving teenage sweat per week. From here, this young teen club hopper's routine grew – spreading his seed across most of Sydney, before taking up a residency at One Love in 2007. He matured for a bit over a year and a half before becoming tired, jaded and eventually deciding to move on. He settled into a home at Ivy Poolclub from its opening night in 2009. Still throwing a handful of boutique disco parties here and there, this kid knows his Noughties like the back of his manicured hands.
